Frequently Asked Questions

Explore Clipper Pools' FAQs to learn more about our services.

At Clipper Pools, our priority is preventative maintenance. We schedule regular equipment service and use the most advanced chemical testing methods available. Many of our clients come from the city and visit only on weekends, so it’s essential that their pools are always ready for swimming.

As a local, service‑based company, most issues can be resolved within hours. If equipment needs to be replaced, we keep pumps, filters, and heaters in stock. We pride ourselves on maintaining an excellent staff‑to‑client ratio. However, as a seasonal business, we acknowledge that mistakes can happen. When they do, we hold ourselves accountable and work quickly to make things right.

We kindly ask for clear communication with our office at 631‑335‑6031 (texting is preferred) and for payments to be made according to the terms outlined in the agreement.

Now, here’s what sets us apart:

  1. Largest service provider in both the Village and the Hamlet.
  2. Every time service or work is completed at your property, you will receive a detailed report—including a description of the work performed, photos of the work, and confirmation that your gate was closed.
  3. No binding contracts. If our customers are not pleased, we want to know immediately. Unlike other companies that lock clients into a full season, if either party is unhappy, you are not tied to a long‑term commitment.
  4. Ask any realtor in town—or even your neighbor. Chances are, they use Clipper Pools.

Winter Watch is a service we provide after your pool is closed. It is designed to minimize and prevent damage to pool and equipment from freeze, snow and ice. Winter Watch provides the following services on monthly basis from November to March.

  • Balance water chemistry to help limit algae growth and prevent water from being corrosive or scale forming.
  • Pool covers are cleaned of debris, inspected and adjustments are made to springs, pipes and anchors.
  • Pool water level is checked and lowered when needed, if water freezes at the tile line tiles can break off however when water level is too low to support your winter cover it is at high risk of damage.
  • Lines and plugs are inspected.
  • In the event of your pool draining due to a leak winter watch dramatically increases the chances of addressing it before it can ruin your liner, winter cover and your pool walls from collapsing.
